OnAirHero vs scoring-app overlays (and cropping Cricbuzz)
There are two kinds of cricket score overlay for OBS. Scoring apps update your stream when someone scores each ball in the app; they’re made for your own club or local match. OnAirHero follows a pro match you’re watching (internationals, T20 leagues, domestic cricket) by itself, from the live page on Cricbuzz or Crex, so nobody scores.

Which one fits you
- You talk over a match you’re watching (watch-along, live commentary, match-day show): OnAirHero. The score keeps up by itself while you talk.
- You stream your own club or local match from the ground: a scoring app, because the score has to come from your scorer.
- You just need a number on screen, free, and don’t mind fixing it: crop the live page in OBS.
Questions
Can OnAirHero show live IPL, PSL and international scores with no manual scoring?
Yes. Open the live match on Cricbuzz or Crex in Chrome and press “Stream this match”. Every ball, wicket and over then updates on your OBS overlay by itself, with no scorer.
Can I use OnAirHero to score my own local match?
No. It is not made for scoring your own local or tape-ball match by hand. A scoring app is the better fit for that today.
Why not just crop the Cricbuzz page in OBS?
You can, for free. You get the website’s own design, no TV-style graphics or banners, and the crop breaks when the page layout changes. OnAirHero reads the same page and turns it into broadcast graphics instead.
Does any of these bring in match video?
OnAirHero does not: it draws score graphics only. Whatever you use, don’t re-stream TV pictures or commentary you don’t have the rights to.
